Do you feel stuck? Are you exhausted and frustrated? Do you make the time to invest in you? You should and here's why. Investing in yourself is the best personal development plan you can have. As we grow through life, our needs and focuses change, and thus our personal development plan should too. Investing time in ourselves allows us to assess and reassess our strengths and potentials and creates a more optimal environment for our nourishment and flourishment. Do you often feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Those emotions are a very clear indicator that you could use a bit of personal development. My favorite form of personal development is people. I love to learn from others, both individually and in groups. When I am learning from other people on a continuum, my mindset is different. I grow through their energy and enthusiasm. It's exciting. I don't feel stuck. Other options are: podcasts, blogs, and books. So let's make a plan.

1. Where do you need development? As a spouse, parent, friend?

2. What resources do you feel align with your goals? Caution. Choose very wisely.

3. Set a goal. What do you want to allot for your personal development plan? 45 minutes daily? 3 hours weekly?

4. Accountability? Do you need accountability?

5. Change. Your personal development plan should change regularly.

Personal development It is a lifelong process. It is more than buying the books or subscribing to the podcast. It requires a real dedicated focus. It is making the commitment and taking the time to really invest in your greatest resource: YOU. You are worth it.
